Sharpening My Chain Saw With My New Gadget

When I was younger cutting fire wood was a chore I hated, but it was a part of everyday life. And so was saw sharpening. I watched my grandfather and father sharpen a saw many times and as I got older I did also. We never used a file guide, but after a stroke my eye sight has diminished considerably now I need all the help I can get. Sometimes saw sharpening can be very frustrating and aggravating process and any thing we can do to make it easier is worth the effort. In the past I have used the file guide that shows the angle but leaves a lot to chance. This new guide helps to hold the file at the right angle and depth. I will admit there is a slight learning curve to this but once you get in the swing of using it then it is a breeze.
